The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested one of Mohammadpur Geneva camp’s most wanted criminals, Selim Ashrafi alias Chuha Selim, in the early hours of today. 

The arrest took place in front of LabAid Hospital in Dhanmondi after midnight, RAB Media Wing Director Lt Col Munim Ferdous confirmed.

Chuha Selim, who has been on the run for a long time, is accused in 35 criminal cases, including two murders, across various police stations under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). 

His arrest is a significant breakthrough in efforts to tackle organized crime in Dhaka.

RAB has handed Selim over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
