Road mishap kills one in Meherpur

MEHERPUR:  A head-on collision between two human haulers on Gangni-Hatbowali road in Gangni upazila left a septuagenarian man killed Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Jan Mohammad, 70, of Hemait village in Gangni upazila.

Witnesses said the human haulers, locally known as ‘nasiman’, collided head-on in Bathanpara area, leaving Jan Mohammad seriously injured.
 
Local people rushed him to Kushtia General Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
