Two found dead and dumped in Jhenidah

Jhenidah: Two people were found dead and dumped in fields in sadar and Kaliganj upazilas of the district on Sunday morning.

Police recovered the bodies in the morning and said both the victims were strangled to death.

One of the deceased, Biplob, 22, was lying dead in Kawsar’s brickfield near Jhenidah-Jessore road. He was strangled with a red T-shirt.

Police said Biplob, hailed from village Manuhar in Kotchandpur upazila, used to drive motorbike on hire.
He had been missing for last three days after going out of home with his motorbike, family members informed.

His father Rabindranath filed a general diary with Kotchandpur police Saturday, stating that he was missing.

Meanwhile, police recovered another body at about 10am Sunday from Kharikhali Amtala area in the sadar upazila.
The unidentified man was also strangled with a red napkin.

Officer-in-charge of Kaliganj thana AKM Faruq Hossain assumed that both were killed by snatchers.
