DHAKA: Industries Minister Dilip Barua Thursday urged local entrepreneurs to come forward for flourishing homegrown industrial enterprises to build an industrially developed Bangladesh.
The minister made the call while inaugurating an industrial promotion exhibition styled ‘Amar Ponya Amar Desh Fair-2010’ at Bangabandhu International Convention Center.
Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, E3 Solution and Carnival, an event-management outfit, have jointly organized the three-day fair aimed at+ boosting local industries and product market across the country.
Inaugurating the fair Dilip Barua said the government would patronize the entrepreneurs of local industries for the development of the industrial sectors
Ruling out the possibility of establishing industries in the state sector, the left leader-turned technocrat minister said, “We’ll extend our support to the local entrepreneurs so that they can get bank loan on easy terms to boost their enterprises.”
FBCCI President Annisul Haque, speaking as a special guest, said development of local industries is a sine qua non for creating job market and increasing country’s GDP. He also underscored the need for the branding of local products on the world market.
President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries Shahedul Islam Helal informed that 54 industrial units with their 110 stalls are participating in the product-branding fair.
