DHAKA: Awami League presidium member Obaidul Kader Friday said the opposition BNP was inviting emergency in the country again.

“Irresponsible behaviour and heat of hatred from the opposition signals an invitation to misrule of the emergency period,” he said.

Kader was addressing a discussion meeting of Bangabandhu Academy on Friday at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.

He asked the opposition as to why they were taking politics toward confrontation.

Bitterly criticising violence during the hartal, he urged the opposition to practice politics positively.
