DHAKA: BNP Standing Committee Member and ex-law minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed proposed framing all-party national work plan for controlling narcotic drug menace.
“All-party action plan is needed to be formed to protect the country from the harms of drugs,” said Moudud at a discussion Tuesday.
Bangladesh Social Cultural Agency organised the discussion titled ‘Role of the youth in building narcotics-free society’ at the National Press Club.
Barrister Moudud alleged different types of narcotics, including phencidyl, are being smuggled in the country in greater volumes now than in the previous times.
He also said, “Borders of the country became unprotected after the Pilkhana carnage committed under a conspiracy against the very existence of Bangladesh.”
