DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman has taken extensive programs to revamp the spirit of his organization.

These programs include the rearrangement of posts and positions of party leaders. According to the sources, the BNP-leader wants to conduct a mass termination to pave the youth to leadership.

But there is also another thought that the controversial figures in the party will be removed from their respective posts first. Then trusted people will be replaced in those posts.

The sources said that Tarique has been observing the activities of the leaders. He wants to follow the termination process in leadership in a tricky way so that it doesn’t throw shadow on the party.

Not only BNP, the drive will be conducted in other associate organizations.

Tarique Rahman wants to handover the party leadership to the qualified and trusted people particularly in 75 organizational districts including Dhaka city unit.

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told banglanews that BNP is interested in bringing the quality and trusted leadership forward. But the local leadership will select them not the centre.

Every organizational committee will be formed through councils, he added.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told banglanews that his party always encourage young leadership. It will continue in future.
