DHAKA: Samyabadi Dal general secretary Dilip Barua on Sunday said the prevailing crisis across the country is the conspiracy to change the regime and people who did not accept the January 5 polls are doing this.
The former industries minister came up with the assertion while addressing commemoration ceremony of former Awami League Abdus Samad Azad organized by Bangladesh Gana Azadi League (BGL) at the National Press Club.
Dilp said, “BNP chairperson will wage movement after Eid-Ul-Fitr. She will oust the government but no benefit will come by issues threats of movement. You should (BNP chief) better stay beside the general people.”
Dilp urged all leaders and activists of the 14-party alliance to stay united against the conspiracies to change the present regime.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon also spoke.
With Samad’s son ASA Bari in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by BGL general secretary SK Shikder and Samad’s son-im-law Dr Syedul Haque.
