Unite to oust govt.: Khaleda

DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday called on all countrymen and political parties to be united to oust the incumbent government.

Khaleda, also chief 20-party alliance, came up with the plea while addressing an iftar party organized by Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) at a convention center in the city.

She said, “All shameless people gather together, the country will have to be protected from the clutch of the shameless.”

The former prime minister of the country also said, “The country is facing crisis moment. There is no democracy, development and the peace.”

“The country is witnessing only looting, corruption, killing, disappearance and abduction. We have to be united and the combined movement will bring back the democracy,” she said.

With BDB president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by senior lawyer Barrister Rafiqul Haque, BNP standing committee member Dr AE Gani, MK Anwar and Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna.
