DHAKA: Armed assailants shot a Jubo League leader in the city’s Pallabi area Wednesday morning.

The injured is Aminul Islam Sentu, 40, finance secretary of ward No.5 Jubo League, and a resident of Mirpur-11.

Witnesses said assailants opened fire on Sentu as he just came out of his house at about 6:30am. He received five bullets in his waist, chest and legs.

He was first rushed to Pallabi General Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital in a critical condition.
