DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Thursday categorically said Khaleda Zia built up political allies with extremists to patronize the killers.

The information minister came up with the allegation while addressing a prgramme commemorating Sector Commander Colonel Abu Taher in Mirpur area of the city in the afternoon.

Jasad leader Inu also said Khaleda Zia has been trying to legalize the collaborators of Pakistan army during 1971, those who killed Bangabandhu in 1975 and those who tried to kill Sheikh Hasina in a grenade attack on August 21, 2004.

The minister also termed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as a queen of killers.

He also urged people to extend the hand of incumbent premier Sheikh Hasina, also Awami League president, to protect the country from the black cloak of killing, extremism and other dreadful incidents.

He further said that the difference of them with Khaleda Zia is that “we have brought the collaborators under trial and she called them patriots”.

With Abdul Sattar Madbar in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by Jasad standing committee member Mir Hossain Akhter, organizing secretary of central committee Nurul Akhter and Karim Sikder and metropolitan (west) general secretary M Nurul Nabi and central president of Jasad Chhatra League Shamsul Ahmed.
