DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has termed the general election on January 5 as unfair and said BNP chief Khaleda Zia will lead for solid unity to stage a protest movement against the government after eid.
He came up with the assertion in an Iftar Party at city’s Chalk Bazaar area on Friday.
Fakhrul also said the government conspiratorially changed the constitution and now they are trying to go back to the Constitution of 1972.”
“There is no right of this government to change the constitution as they were not elected by the vote of the mass of the country,” he added.
He also termed incumbent government illegal and fascist.
