SUNAMGANJ: State Minister for Finance and Planning Affairs MA Mannan on Saturday categorically said at present there is no crisis in the country.

“We have crossed the crisis in 1971. Now we are seeking potential development,” he said.

He came up with the observation in a roundtable meeting at Shaheed Abul Hossain Auditorium of the town.

MA Mannan also said the first district level university of the country will be at Sunamganj. 

The government believes in development and we are looking forward in this regard, he added.

Members of parliament from the constituencies Sunamganj-1, 4 and 5 Muhibur Rahman Manik, Fazlur Rahman Mijbah, Moajjem Hossain Ratan also spoke here.
