Police to remain alert on Eid

DHAKA: State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said the police forces are working to maintain law-and-order in the capital during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The state minister made the remarks while observing the security system of Eastern Mallika Shopping Complex in city.

The law enforcers are alert to resist extortionist, snatchers, ogyan party, malam party to relive city dwellers and make their shopping enjoyable, he added. 

Kamal also talked with the buyers and sellers in the market. They informed that there is no incident of extortion and the buyers are happy with the market environment.

Later, he also visited the Gausia Market in city’s new market area.

MP Fazle Noor Taposh, inspector general of police Hasan Mahmud Khandaker and DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed accompanied the state minister for home.
