DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on Sunday said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is cent percent responsible for her party’s condition.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the observation while addressing an iftar mahfil organized by Juba League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.

Indicating Khaleda, he said, “I request you (Khaleda) to realize the truth and reality during the Ramadan. There will always remain difference (in ideology), but talks is the way of peace.”

He added: “Politics is not an alternative war and political leaders and activists are the soldiers of the ideology, they will not have arms in their hands.”

Referring to the BNP’s threat to waging anti-government movement after Eid-ul-Fitr, Ashraf said, “The government is elected by people, nothing matters whether you (Khaeda) issues threat.”
