CHITTAGONG: A Union Parishad member was killed by unidentified miscreants at Langalmora school ground in Hathazari on Monday late night.  

The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain, 45, son of Nurul Haque of Nadimpur village under Rawjan upazila and No. 15 ward member of Union Parishad.  

Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost In-Charge Bashar said that some miscreants shot Anwar and left him at Langalmora school ground.  

He was taken to hospital around 6:00am where on duty doctor declared him dead.
