Khaleda unfit for politics, says Inu

DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, also Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) leader, on Monday said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is unfit for partaking in politics.

“She will be unfit for partaking in the politics of Bangladesh as long as she won’t give up the company of collaborators of 1971, killers of 1975 and grenade attackers on August 21, 2004,” he said.

The information minister made the assertion while addressing a discussion meeting, commemorating the 38th death anniversary of Colonel Taher, at TSC (Teachers Students Centre) of Dhaka University.

He also said the day of hanging the freedom fighters has ended; now it is the moment to hang war criminals.

With Comrade Haider Akbar Khan Rono in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, Bangladesh Communist Party President Mujahidul Islam Selim and International Crimes Tribunal Prosecutor Turin Afroz.
