DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday extended bail to four BNP leaders, including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir till September 4 in two murder cases filed with Ramna Police Stations.

The three other leaders are Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdus Salam and Aman Ullah Aman.

Sources told banglanews that Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Mahmud Adnan passed the order as Fakhrul and the lawyers of three other accused appeared before the court this morning and sought extension of their bail period.

The cases, however, were filed for killing people in two arson attacks to buses in city on December last year during the anti-government demonstration by the BNP-led alliance.

Moreover, the court also passed an arrest warrant against Ramna Thana Jubo Dal organizing secretary Dulu.
