PATUAKHALI: The High Court at a verdict on Thursday has quashed and set aside life imprisonment awarded to 13 Awami League men by district court in sensational double murder case of Patuakhali.     

Of the acquired, main accused of the case Bawfal upazila Awami League general secretary Motaleb Hawladar and rests are activists of Boga union Awami League.

Allude to on December 8, 2001, Jalil Munshi and his nephew Delawar Munshi were killed in a clash between two groups of Boga village.

Following the day Jalil’s elder brother Boga union BNP president Mojibur Munshi filed a murder case against 18 Awami league including Motaleb Hawladar.

Later, Barisal special judge court awarded life term to 13 accused.
