DHAKA: Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya categorically said that we have achieved the independence with the sacrifices and blood of three million martyrs and agonies of three lakh women, and so we don’t care and not yield to anyone .

Minister for disaster management and relief of Ruling Awami League came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion arranged by Bangladesh Jatiya Jubo Parishad at the central office of Awami League in the city.

Criticizing the speech of newly appointed US ambassador, Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat, he said, “We are not a dependable nation anymore. This is not 1971 its 2014. We don’t follow anyone’s prescription.”

The minister also said that in the name of treatment Tarique Rahman went abroad and trying to plot conspiracy.

Awami League Office Secretary Shahidul Islam Milon, publicity and publication secretary Abdul Haq Sabuj among others delivered their speech in the meeting.
