DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday categorically said the anti-government movement would be enforced after developing the biggest national unity.

The spokesperson for the party made the assertion at BNP Nayapaltan central office in the city while talking to journalists about Khaleda Zia’s call to wage the movement after Eid.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told media that mass people would also join the movement.

Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, would be prioritized in terms of the movement, he added.

Earlier, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said the movement would be waged after Eid to oust the government.

The BNP chief made the statement while exchanging views with the newly elected upazila chairmen and vice-chairmen of Dhaka division at her Gulshan office on June 17.

She called upon the party leaders and activists to get ready to wage the movement to oust the government.
