AL not afraid of BNP movements: Sajeda

MAGURA: Jatiya Sangsad deputy leader Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury categorically said that ruling Awami League (AL) government is not afraid of the threats of opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s movements.

AL knows the spirit of movements, she said adding that her party leaders and activists are united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

On the mid-term elections, Sajeda commented that people have given them the mandate for five years.

For that reason, the incumbent government will complete the term, she added.

On Abdul Latif Siddique’s derogatory remarks on religion, Sajada said that her party will take decision about him.

The Sangsad deputy leader told media prior to attending a reception program of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society chairman MS Akbar MP on Magura Circuit House premises Wednesday morning.

MS Akbar MP, Zilla Parishad administrator advocate Syed Shariful Islam, PM’s personal assistant secretary Saifuzzaman Shekhor and district AL acting president Tanzel Hossian Khan, among others, were present at the event.
