KHAGRACHHARI: Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader assured that all points of Chittagong Hill Tracks (CHT) peace agreement will be implemented during the incumbent government tenure.
The minister came up with this assertion while inaugurating three bridges which cost Tk 25.35 crore in Khagrachhari district on Thursday.
The government has taken a project to construct 16 bridges on Khagrachhari-Fatikchhari road which will cost Tk 121 crore.
Obaidul said the CHT region will become an economic zone through the development of road communications.
Another 57 bridges costing Tk 190 crore are scheduled to be approved, he added.
Khagrachhari MP Kujendra Lal Tripura, district parishad chairman Chaikho Ong Marma, deputy commissioner, superintendent of police and political leaders were also present there.
