DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday warned of waging tough movement in case the government is not wake up on time.
The BNP leader came up with the warning when addressing a program titled “24th Memorial Discussion of Historic Martyr Day” at National Press Club in the city.
Fakhrul said that this government who holds no confidence to democracy can not be kept on power for long; this immoral government will obviously be ousted by waging movement.
BNP’s movement is continuing and will also be continued; BNP does not do movement for power it is doing movement for establishing people’s rights, he added.
Presided over by BNP education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon, BNP international affairs secretary Asaduzzaman Ripon, among others, spoke at the function.
