DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, on Sunday said her party would not tolerate any of its party member’s remarks that demean religion.
“The party is a secular party but not against any religion,” she said.
The party chief made the assertion while addressing the executive committee meeting at the Gonobhaban in the evening.
The premier also said, “We took steps against Abdul Latif Siddique as he made a grave mistake by commenting against holy hajj.”
