DHAKA: A Dhaka court extended the bail-term of Abdul Mannan Khan, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Affairs in a case filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
The court extended the bail-term till December 9.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court's Magistrate Ataul Haque passed the order at city on Monday.
Earlier, ACC has filed a case against three persons including two former State Ministers and present ruling Awami League lawmaker from Cox's Bazar-4 constituency on an allegation of amassing wealth illegally and concealed wealth statement.
The accused are Abdul Mannan Khan, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Affairs, and Talukder Mahbubur Rahman, former State Minister for Water Resources, and ruling Awami League lawmaker from Cox's Bazar-4 constituency Abdur Rahman Bodi.
The case statement against ex-state minister Abdul Mannan Khan said he did not give information of his property worth Tk 4.59 lakh and he could not submit documents in support of his income of Tk 75 lakh.
According to the income tax returns and other datas of Mannan, he has movable properties worth Tk 96.89 lakh.
Besides, his wealth statement placed to the Anti-graft body on March 9 described that he owned movable properties worth Tk 92.30 lakh.
