DHAKA: A Dhaka court here on Wednesday has deferred the charge framing hearing against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 40 other BNP leaders and activists until January 14 nest year.
They are accused in killing police along with vandalism and arson.
Sources told banglanews that Senior Special Judge Court’s Judge Md Ruhul Amin passed the order in response to the time petitions filed by the defense lawyer in the morning.
However, all of the 41 accused, including Mirza Abbas, Moudud Ahmed, Barkatullah Bulu and Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, were appeared before the court but three leaders--Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Amanullah Aman and Abdullah Al Noman.
Earlier, the case was filed for vandalism and arson in front of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in Bailey Road of the capital on March 2, 2013, during a BNP-led agitation program.
