NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court on Wednesday placed a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member--lance corporal Ruhul Amin—on a five-day fresh remand in a case of gruesome Narayanganj seven-murder.
The court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Chandni Rupam passed the order at noon in response to a plea of the investigation officer for a seven-day remand.
On October 8, the RAB officer was remanded for seven days and before the day he was arrested from Patuakhali.
Narayanganj District Bar Association President Advocate Sakhawat Hossain told banglanews, Amin was placed on a five-day remand in the case filed by Selina, wife of slain Narayanganj City Corporation Councilor Nazrul Islam.
A total of 24 people, including RAB personnel were so far arrested in the seven-murder case.
Seven people, including that of Nazrul and Chandan, were abducted on April 27. Their bodies were found floating in the river Shitalakkhya some days later.
