BNP mourns Piash Karim

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is observing mourning day on the death of BRAC University teacher Piash Karim on Friday.

Party flag of the party has been kept half must and hoisted black flags.

Besides, BNP leaders, including BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, were seen wearing black badges.

Earlier in the morning, Piash Karim’s body was taken to his Dhanmondi residence from Square Hospital mortuary and his first namaz-e-janaza was held at Baitul Aman Jame Mosque there.

Then the second namaz-e-janaza of BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim was held after Juhr prayers at Baitul Mukarram mosque in city and will be buried at Banani Graveyard.

Earlier on October 13, BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim had died of cardiac arrest at Square Hospital in the capital.
