BOGRA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia left Bogra Circuit house to address a rally in Nilphamari demanding mid term election under non-party caretaker government.
She started her journey from Bogra around 12:00pm on Thursday.
Earlier, Khaleda reached Bogra Circuit House around 9:00pm and stayed the night here.
The BNP chief will join the rally around 4:00pm at Town Club premises which will be presided over by district BNP convener Advocate Anisul Arefin Chowdhury.
However, Khaleda is going to Nilphamari as a part of her countrywide mass contact program to mobilize public support for the party’s movement protesting government’s oppression, corruption and crimes and demanding a mid-term general election.
Central and local leaders of 20-party alliance, including BNP senior leaders, will also address the rally.
She will leave Nilphamari for Dhaka in the evening and will take a break in Tangail’s Jamuna Resort on the way.
Moreover, BNP vice Chairman Selima Rahman is accompanying Khaleda and Acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has already arrived at Nilphamari to join the rally.
