13 Jamaat men among 49 arrested in Satkhira

SATKHIRA: Police in overnight drives detained a total of 49 people including 13 men of Jamaat-e-Islami and its students’ wing Islami Chhattra Shibir across the district Tuesday.

District superintendent of police (SP) Syed Modasser Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The Jamaat-Shibir men were arrested in different cases related to carrying out sabotage, vandalizing vehicles and setting fires while the rests are accused in different cases, said the SP.
