DHAKA: Miscreants blasted some cocktails in city’s Paltan area during hartal enforced by Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday.

Witnesses said some miscreants blasted 10-12 cocktails near the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram and Paltan intersection in the evening.

On information, police rushed to the spot and opened fire in the air to take the situation under their control.

However, additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert any subversive incident.
