DHAKA: Miscreants vandalized vehicles and blasted cocktails during hartal hours in city’s Nayapaltan and Roysaheb Bazar areas on Sunday evening.

Witnesses said some 30/40 people brought out a sudden procession in Roysaheb Bazar area and blasted 7-8 cocktails; later, they vandalized some passenger buses and fled the scene.

Meanwhile, miscreants also blasted five cocktails in front of Scout Bhaban at Nayapaltan in city in the evening.

On duty police rushed to the spot but they managed to flee the scene.

Sub-Inspector of Special Branch of Police told banglanews that Jamaat-Shibir activists might have blasted the cocktails to create panic among the citizens and in support of hartal.
