RANGPUR: A Juba League leader was allegedly chopped dead in an infighting at Satmatha area of Sadar town early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Imran.

Sources said, Imran’s opponents within the party chopped him at Satmatha, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rushed him to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:30am.

Imran’s followers vandalized the house of Labour affairs secretary of Metropolitan Awami League MA Mazid who is also the general secretary of Rangpur District Motor Sramik Union.
