DHAKA: Krishak Shramik Janata League (KSJL) President Abdul Kader Siddique on Wednesday said he is waiting for moments when police would come to arrest him.
He came up with the assertion while talking to journalists in a press conference at his residence at Mohammadpur of the city in the afternoon.
The KSJL president held press meet a day after a Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against him on Tuesday in a case filed for calling former home minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir Alamgir a ‘razakar’.
At the briefing, he said the case was filed in favor of a ‘razakar’ against a freedom fighter who is Bir Uttam and arrest warrant was issued in that case.
He told the journalists: “For this reason, I have nothing to say, I am counting time whey they (police) come to arrest me.”
On February 19, 2013, FF Ruhul Amin Majumder filed a defamation case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
According to the case statement, Kader Siddique, at a party conference on February 9, told that the war crimes trial could not be possible when the home minister himself was a ‘razakar’.
