NILPHAMARI: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday categorically said they do not believe in terrorism and militancy.
The BNP leader came up with the assertion while delivering his speech as chief guest in Syedpur organizational district BNP tri-annual conference in Town Hall of the district.
He also said, “The incumbent government is trying to fabricate BNP as a terrorist and militant party.”
Mirza Fakhrul said an advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina disclosed that January 5 national elections had not been accepted in the country and abroad as well.
The BNP spokesperson said they made an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami for election and movements. Earlier, the BNP also staged demonstrations with the collaboration of Awami League.
BNP central committee members Akhtaruzzaman Mia, Alamgir Sarker and Bilkis Islam and Rangpur division organizing secretary Asadul Habib Dulu were among others present at the program.
