DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal called a countrywide demonstration on Sunday protesting the government decision canceling parole of Koko, the younger son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The announcement came from a demonstration in front of party central office in city’s Nayan Paltan Saturday morning.
The government on August 19 cancelled the parole of Koko and called him back home as there are cases pending against him.
In the demo, BNP senior joint secretary general Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir demanded Koko’s unconditional release.
He said the main task of the government is to implicate the BNP leaders and activists in false cases.
