KHULNA: State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian Saturday accused a section of bureaucrats in the administration of plotting trouble and embarrass the government.

“A section of bureaucrats who were privileged during the BNP-Jamaat alliance regime was out to embarrass us by loadshedding during the iftar, sehri and Tarabi prayer in a planned way,” she said.

Monnujan was addressing a human chain demonstration here at Picture Palace Crossing, which was arranged demanding punishment of masterminds of August 21 grenade attack on Sheikh Hasina.

She said the BNP-Jamaat alliance tried to kill Shiekh Hasina and they will be face the court very soon for their misdeeds.

"If the masterminds are not tried and get punished, incidents like series bomb attack on August 17 and grenade attack on August 21 would continue to take place," she said.

City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq, District Awami League President Sheikh Harun-or-Rashid, Senior Vice-President Mollah Jalal Uddin, among others, joined the human chain.
