DHAKA: Dhaka city Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Rafiqul Islam Khan was again taken on two days’ remand in a case of vandalizing and torching a car in pre-hartal violence.

Rafiqul Islam got anticipatory bails on August 23 in six cases filed on charges of obstructing police from discharging their duties and hurting religious sentiment of Muslims.

On August 25, police arrested the Jamaat leader from his Mirpur residence just a day after the High Court granted him anticipatory bail in the case.
