DHAKA: Opposition leader and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia returned home Thursday from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah.
An Emirates Airways flight carrying the former prime minister and her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 2:30pm.
Senior leaders of the party received her at the airport.
Earlier on August 30, she left for Saudi Arabia at the special invitation of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
She held meetings with some world leaders and officials during her 10-day visit in Saudi Arabia as a state guest.
Her family members, officials and a group of journalists accompanied her on the pilgrimage.
