DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday alleged the government is conspiring against family Zia by handing over cheque Arafat Rahman Koko’s money to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
“The government handed over Arafat Rahman Koko’s money laundering checque to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to divert eyesight of people to other direction from their demand,” he said.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the observation while addressing in a press conference at party’s Nayapaltan office in the city.
He claimed that it is a government conspiracy against Zia’s family and propaganda to assume power again.
The senior leader of the party also said, “The government included Tarique Rahman in August 21 grenade attack and filed case against Khaleda Zia. These all are the political conspiracy.”
Fakhrul again reiterated that the government should give parliament elections under non-partisan caretaker government as per the party’s demand.
BNP vice-chairman Sadek Hossain Khoka and city leader Abdus Salam were among others present at the meet.
