COMILLA: Around 86 activists-supporters of Comilla Medical College unit of Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, were sued under Anti Terrorism Act on Saturday.
Earlier on Friday, Kotwali Thana police held around 110 persons on suspicion of Shibir men from a community center of the city while they were attending a reception ceremony organized by Chhatra Shibir.
Amongst them, 86 persons were shown arrested on suspicion of Shibir men and rests were freed.
Later, police filed case against them, said IO of the case Kotwali Thana SI Jasim Uddin.
They are internee doctors and students of Comilla Medical College Hospital.
Police sources said they were holding a meeting in the name of reception of doctors to boost up anti-government movement and create political crisis and anarchy in the country.
Acting on a tip off Kotwali Thana police nabbed them from the function.
