Internet service provider of Bangladesh (ISPB) assured that broadband connection will be restored in residential areas tonight (July 24).
Broadband internet services have been restored after five days of halt on a limited basis on July 23, night.
Initially, internet services are being provided on a priority basis in banks, financial institutions, government offices, courts, and media outlets.
Meanwhile, a meeting has been called in the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) today regarding mobile data.
According to the sources, internet is being restored identifying the 'green zone' areas where there was no violence.
In the case of areas considered as red zone, the connection will be established by holding the IP addresses.
Due to the conflict over the quota reform movement, the internet was shut for almost a week causing problems in various aspects of citizen's life.
On the other hand the information and communication technology sector of the country is facing huge loss centering internet connection halt.
However, curfew will remain relaxed in Dhaka on Wednesday and Thursday (July 24 and 25) from 10 am to 5 pm.
At the same time curfew will be relaxed in Gazipur, Narayanganj and Narsingdi.
