RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi Education Board has emerged as the second top out of the eight education boards this year with average pass percentage of 75.43.
This year a total of 5,602 students got GPA-5, the highest grade, according to the Education Ministry.
Last year, the average pass percentage was 70.47 and the number of GPA-5 scorers was 2,229.
Board secretary professor Tanbhirul Alam and examination controller SMA Huraira published the result in a press conference at the conference room of Rajshahi Education Board on Thursday morning.
The press meet stated of total 82,174 examinees, 61987 passed the HSC examinations.
Meanwhile, Pabna Cadet College became the top one among 20 top colleges under the board. All 48 examinees of the college scored GPA-5.
New Government Degree College has ensured an outstanding result with the highest grade point (GPA) of five. A total of 659 students got GPA-5 of the college.
Rajshahi Cadet College has managed to take the first position among top five collages in the city. All 45 students of the college have got GPA-5.
According to the HSC results published Thursday, the 12 colleges, who managed to get 100 percent pass rate in the board are- Bogra Cantonment Public School and College, Pabna Cadet College, Rajshahi Cadet College, Chowhaly Manjur Quader College, Darshangram Adarsha College, Chalan Bil Adarsha College, Simabari Women’s College, Durgapur Adarsha women’s College, Nachol Dogachhi Barendra High School and College, Alipur Model College, Boro Shimla Women’s College and Dathia Bamongram Union High School and College.
The last four colleges had only one examinee each, however.
