KISHOREGONJ: A Kishoregonj Court Sunday placed Major Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of Indian separatist group United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), and his associate Pradip Marak on a three-day remand separately.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ali Ahsan granted the remand after a hearing as police produced them before the court and made the plea for interrogation.
They were taken to Bhairab Thana for interrogation.
A team of RAB-9 personnel arrested them in Laxmipur border area of Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj on July 17 with arms and explosives.
Md. Karimullah, Deputy Assistant Director of the Rab-9, filed a case under arm, explosion, illegal trespassing and anti-terrorism law with Bhairab Thana.
