BDR mutiny: Bail prayers of 20 accused rejected

DINAJPUR: A Court here on Monday rejected bail petitions of 20 accused in BDR carnage of 40 Rifles Battalion of Phulbari thana in Dinajpur.

The court has set August 31 for hearing the charges.

The accused were produced before the court of District and Sessions Judge of Dinajpur Sarker Mohammad Abul Mansur.

The judge heard the bail petitions, submitted by nine lawyers on behalf of the accused.

Police Inspector Mahmudul Alam filed the case accusing 20 BDR members on May 11.

Phulbari police arrested them on May 12.
