Labour unrest in Mirpur

DHAKA: Garment workers staged demonstration and vandalized some vehicles in Mirpur-1 to press their demand for pay hike Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur model thana Kazi Wazed Ali told banglanews24.com.bd the workers of Meridian Fashion at Mirpur-1 Circle demonstrated over pay hike and misbehaviour of the owner.

The workers blocked the road and vandalized vehicles, he added.

On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
