Ashuganj to install new power plant

DHAKA: Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited (APSCL) will install a new power plant with 50 MW generation capacity.

The APSCL on Sunday signed an agreement with a Spanish company, PSK, in this regard.

“The station will come into generation within seven months,” APSCL’s managing director Adul Khaleq told banglanews24.com.bd.

The autonomous body has mobilised Tk 300 crore from its fund to install the station.

With the new addition, APSCL’s generation would stand 650 MW from 600MW at present.

APSCL Director (Finance) Md. Shorab Ali Khan and PSK representative Alfonso singed the agreement on-behalf of their organisations.
