KOLKATA: Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will pay a visit to Bangladesh in October, official sources in Delhi said.
“Both New Delhi and Dhaka are working on his two-day official visit,” said one source.
The issues of militancy will also be discussed during the official talks between the two heads of government apart from regular bilateral agenda.
Implementation of four agreements which were signed during Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to new Delhi in January this year will also be discussed, the sources added.
In order to make the Indian Premier’s visit a success, Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will visit Dhaka in August to do the spadework. Pranab, during his two-day travel, will finalise a date for the official visit of the Prime Minister.
