DHAKA: Bangladesh Upazila Vice-Chairmen Parishad warned the government of movement for office charges by September 20.
"Give us our office by issuing notification within stipulated time frame. Or else we will announce greater movement," said Mohammad Hossain Foku, president of the parishad at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters` Unity on Monday.
The vice-chairmen were agitating for taking the responsibility as public representatives, which they are yet to get.
He alleged that the lawmakers and Upazila Chairmen jointly made them inactive.
Reserve vice-chairmen have received charges in some upazilas but the vice-chairman did not get yet, he said adding: "No one invite us for any programme at upazila."
